A Piece of the Dragon is Getting Removed
2Today I got a call from the Doc’s office about the last gallbladder test I had done. Well, they finally found an answer; the test came back abnormal, so my gallbladder is not functioning properly. They are setting me up with a surgeon to have it removed.
I am not particularly scared of this procedure, I know it is really routine. However, I have never had surgery on my torso before. I am quite relieved they actually found something wrong, granted it took forever, but they found something, and it is going to get corrected.
Review of Scene Restaurant and Lounge @ Monaco Theater Huntsville AL
0
Recently my entourage and myself have been frequenting Scene Restaurant and Lounge located at the Monaco Theater at Bridge Street in Huntsville, Alabama. Scene Restaurant & Lounge is an indoor/outdoor restaurant and lounge located at Bridge Street Town Centre. Home to Huntsville’s hottest happy hour, Scene offers a variety of drinks, shareables and plates everyone can enjoy. It is great having this type of place at a movie theater. The food is great, especially the sushi. If you love sushi, then you really need to check out Scene. Their specialty drinks are a little expensive, but well worth it. Two of my favorite things about this facility are the lighting they use inside the lounge, and the patio. The patio is my personal favorite, they have it open all year, and when it gets chilly outside, there are gas outdoor fireplaces.
Scene also allows you to make reservations via their website http://www.monacopicturesusa.com/scenelounge.html Also, be sure to friend them on facebook as well, http://www.facebook.com/SceneAtMonaco
If you live in Huntsville and you haven’t visited, you should. If you do visit there, The Dragon may be there as well.
Medical Profession
0Lately I have been struggling with an apparently untraceable medical issue. It started off with me going to the doctor for pain in my abdomen and vomiting, especially after I tried to eat something. My primary doctor thought that it was an ulcer, the next day I had to go to the ER because I woke up in unbelievable pain. Went through urinalysis, a second round of blood work, an abdominal CT scan, and nothing came back. Got sent to a gastroenterologist and was sent from there to an ultrasound, an endoscopy, and a gallbladder test. The only test result that has not come back yes has been the gallbladder test; all the other tests return normal results, with the exception of the endoscopy, they found damage from stomach acid in my esophagus and the upper part of my lower intestine. Now I have a follow-up appointment set for a month away. I am still in pain, and still getting nauseous after I eat anything at all.
All of this of course set my thoughts on the medical profession itself. To me, it all seems like guesswork from people that really don’t actually care about patients anymore. Setting up all these tests seems just like a ploy to make time pass and hopefully the condition will clear up on its own. Clearly not the case, but I have no other choice in the matter. I know it is difficult to diagnose something that could be so many different things.
Frustration has really set in, and I am on the verge of either giving up, or just asking the doctor to go
ahead and take out my gallbladder hoping that will solve the problem.
The Dragon Emerges
0Today I finally created my own blog site. I am super excited about it, and I can’t wait to get started. I am looking at things so much differently now. I am constantly thinking about things I can post about, even when I am and about in town. I got hooked up today with a blogging group and everything. So many people to just talk to and get to know through their blogs. I was really struggling with my first post, but I figured this would be fitting enough to get started.
I hope everyone enjoys things I write about, and feel free to comment, I love to get feedback. Together, we can break down walls, and move mountains!
